SKOWHEGAN - Keith L. Pullyard, 75, of Skowhegan, passed away on Dec. 6, 2013 at Cedar Ridge Nursing Center in Skowhegan.
He was born on May 24, 1938 in Sangerville, the son of Christopher E. Pullyard and Evangeline M. (Clukey) Pullyard.
Keith was educated in the Sangerville schools.
He served three years in the Army.
Keith and Beatrice were married for more than 40 years.
He worked for S.D. Warren as a heavy equipment operator and a heavy duty mechanic in the Bingham area for nearly 33 years.
He was an avid Ham radio operator, fisherman and hunter, he enjoyed going to the state fairs to watch the horse pulls, he was a big Boston Celtics fan and he had a real love for dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice, of Skowhegan; his five children, Gary Bailey and his wife, Cheryl, of Canaan, Dana Bailey, of Lancaster, N.H., Terry Bailey and his wife, Irina, of Goffstown, N.H., Meldon Bailey and his companion, Pauline, of Clinton, and Jamie Pullyard and his wife, Mary, of China Village; two brothers, Kenneth Pullyard, of Sangerville, and Bernard Pullyard, of Lewiston; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother and father; and one sister Dorothy Johnson.
Viewing hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013 at Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Tanner officiating. A committal service will be held in the spring at Mount Rest Cemetery in Athens.
