NORTH ANSON -- Paul V. Clukey, 69, died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at his home in North Anson. He was born May 19, 1940 in Anson, the son of Napoleon Joseph and Florence (O'Connor) Clukey.

Paul graduated from Madison High School in 1958 and attended the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Waterville. He was employed for 49 years at the Madison Paper Mill as a power station operator and retired Feb. 1, of 2009. He also worked part-time as a police officer for the Madison Police Department for 30 years.
Paul was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed traveling, cars, his collection of clocks and Star Trek memorabilia. He also remained very interested in law enforcement after his departure from the Madison Police Department.
He was predeceased by a brother Gerald T. Clukey.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Rhonda (Savage) Clukey of North Anson; his sons Paul V. Clukey II of Biddeford, Michael D. Clukey and his wife, Debi Davis, of Biddeford, David J. Clukey and his wife, Katie, of South Portland, and Steven J. Clukey of North Anson; a granddaughter Kylie Jean Clukey of Biddeford; two brothers, Harleigh Clukey and his wife, Roberta, of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Peter Clukey and his wife, Vicki, of Madison; and many nieces and nephews; and his cats, Fred and Ricky.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at the Sunset Cemetery in North Anson with the Rev. David Walz officiating.
