MADISON -- Scott M. Kerr, 52, passed away peacefully at his home in Madison on Dec. 10, 2012. He was born Nov. 7, 1960, in Skowhegan, to Robert M. and Virginia (Churchill) Kerr.
Scott attended Carrabec High School and served in the Navy aboard the USS Forrestal. An avid outdoor person, he enjoyed, four-wheeling and canoeing and loved camping. He also enjoyed tinkering on various vehicles and was an expert on a unicycle.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Virginia M. and Ronald Clark, of Madison; his siblings, Lenny Kerr and his wife, Lynn, of New Sharon, Nancy Lovejoy and her husband, Kevin, of North New Portland, John Kerr, of Anson, and Darla Farrell and her husband, Marty, of Madison; an uncle, Pete Churchill, of Anson; and several nieces, nephews and many friends.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Schneid and the nurses on 3 South at the Togus VA Center for everything they did for Scotty. Special thanks to Ellen Lavasseur and Scott Labbe Sr.
There will be a celebration of life from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at the Madison American Legion on South Maple Street in Madison. Interment will be later in the spring at East Cemetery in New Portland.
