EMBDEN -- Samuel M. White III, 21, "the gentle giant," died unexpectedly Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, in Concord. He was born Sept. 20, 1990, in Waterville, the son of Samuel and Bonnie (Edgerly) White. He graduated from Carrabec High School, class of 2008. He had a great passion for weightlifting and competed in many competitions and maxed out his bench press at 500 pounds. Not only was he strong, but he could also sing and dance. He played the role of many characters in The Dinner Theater program at Carrabec High School and was voted Class Flirt.
He was employed by Sam White Excavation where he was a heavy equipment operator and logger. He enjoyed tinkering and working odd jobs and was always willing to help anyone in need. His love of his family was endless. He was most known for his wonderful giant hug he would give when he saw someone he loved. In the 21 years of his life, he accomplished many things and touched hundreds of lives.
He is survived by his parents, Sam and Bonnie White, brother Zachary and sister Chelsea, all of Embden; his son, Jonathan Heath White, of Embden; grandmother Beverly Patrie, of Madison; grandfather and step-grandmother Richard and Norma Edgerly, of Fairfield; great-grandmother Blandine Frost, of Norridgewock; great-grandmother Jennie Norton, of Madison; and his adopted grandparents, Bo and Nancy Nye, of Embden, and Bob and Diana Fini, of West Newbury, Mass.; uncles and aunts Mike and Janeice Holmes, of Embden, Mike and Nicole Edgerly, of Madison, and Mark and Sandra Boudreault, of Madison; cousins Logan and Jessica Holmes, of Embden, Rene and Brandon Boudreault, of Madison, Courtney, and Briar and Emily Edgerly, all of Madison; and many other extended family members too numerous to mention.
He left this world to join his grandparents Sam and Cheryl White, great-grandparents Georgia and Harold Stephenson, great-grandfather Royce Frost, great-grandfather Harry Norton and great-grandparents Robert and Irene Edgerly.
Please join us at Sam and Bonnie's home, 287 Moulton Road, Embden, at noon Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, as we remember 21 years of Sam's life. We have established a trust fund in memory of Sam for his son, Jonathan.
