OCALA, Fla. -- Ronald G. Hodges, 68, passed away Feb. 9, 2013, from the progression of Alzheimer's disease.
He was born in Stoneham, Mass., Jan. 15, 1945, the third son of Carlton and Gwendolyn (Glidden) Hodges.
He graduated in 1963 from Besse High School in Albion. Soon after graduation, he joined the Air Force. He served his country from 1964 to 1968. He spent some of those years, during the Vietnam War, stationed at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines.
Ronald became an agent for the Prudential Insurance Co. and for several years earned awards as a top salesman. Later, he owned Hodges Insurance Agency in Skowhegan. Over the years, Ronald had many different interests.
He was predeceased by his father, Carlton Hodges; a brother, Carlton Hodges Jr.; and by his daughter, Sharon Hodges Luce.
He is survived by his wife of eight years, Michelle, of Ocala; his mother, Gwendolyn Hodges, of Albion; his son, Paul, of Newport, Maine, and his wife, Donna; his son, Mark, of Norridgewock, and his wife, Darci; his brothers, David, and his wife, Irene, Terry and his wife, Mary, and John and his wife, Melissa Foltz; a sister, Peggy Darsaoui; a sister-in-law, Nancy Hodges; nine grandchildren, several stepchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial will take place in Collins Cemetery, Cornville, at the convenience of the family.
