BANGOR -- Phillip Aaron McCue passed away on Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, following a short illness at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

He was born in Rockville, Conn., on Jan. 10, 1984, the son of Michael and Susan (Gardiner) McCue. When he was quite young, Phillip and the rest of his family moved to Unity, where he attended grade school. His family moved to Bangor for a while and later to Hampden, where Phillip finished his education.

Later, he moved back to Unity and was employed by Sullivan Waste Disposal. Phillip later moved to Winslow and worked for another waste disposal company. He also worked as a flagger in various places in the state.

In his early years, Phillip attended Clinton Baptist Church, where he was involved in Sunday school and vacation Bible school.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, David McCue; and two aunts, Mary McCue and Maria Preble.

Phillip will be sadly missed by his father, Michael McCue and his wife, Patricia, of Jackson; his mother, Susan Gardiner White and her husband, Francis, of Manchester; his paternal grandmother, Eileen McCue of Old Town; his maternal grandparents, Robert and June Gardiner of Unity; two brothers, James and Benjamin McCue of Bangor; his son, Jackson Robert McCue and his mother, Krista Foss of Machias; his aunts and uncles, Melanie Gardiner Gray and her husband, Scott, of Somers, Conn., Angela Ahern and her husband, Kevin, of Stafford Spring, Conn., Gary Gardiner and his wife, Sheila, of Troy, Carl McCue and his wife, Debra, of Hampden, Ken McCue and his significant other, Norma, of Hermon, Polly Allen and her husband, George, of Holden, Pam McCue of Hudson, Mary Stewart and her husband, David, of Albion, Betty McCue Herlihy and her husband, Gerald, of Old Town, Ramona Decker and her husband, Donald, of Rockland, Edward McCue of Dover-Foxcroft, and Richard McCue and his wife, Karen, of Dover-Foxcroft; a nephew, Kevin McCue of Cooper; several cousins, including his special cousin, Eric McCue of Brewer; and many friends.

A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Unity Centre for the Performing Arts, 42 Depot St., Unity, with the Rev. Robert Philbrick officiating. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery in East Thorndike.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in care of his son, Jackson McCue, P.O. Box 75, Dixmont, ME 04932.
