SOUTH CHINA -- Our beloved son, brother and daddy, Justin V. Smith, 26, of Weeks Mills Road, died unexpectedly on Dec. 4, 2012, in Waterville.

He was born in Augusta on Feb. 20, 1986, the son of Virgil Smith and Brenda (Morrell) Smith.

Justin graduated from Erskine Academy in 2005. He was employed by Top of the Line Drywall for four years. He was previously employed by Innovative Work Space and Tobey's General Store.

Justin was a member of the Biggest Bucks in Maine Club and the North American Hunters Association.

Justin was born the fourth great-great-grandchild to complete four sets of five generations living on his mother's side. This alone made him extraordinarily special.

Justin lived his life to the fullest. He was an avid sportsman. Whether it was fishing, hunting, softball, four-wheeling or snowmobiling, he made time for it all.

Justin loved being a dad to his baby boy, Tucker. He was teaching him how to fish, four-wheel and pick on those he loved ... already.

Justin strived to be the best of the best at all he did, and he truly was the best. Justin's father, Virgil, was his best friend and the one who taught him all he knew.

Justin's sister Kayla, was his favorite person to pick at. He loved her so much, and if you knew him and he picked on you, then he loved you too.

Justin loved to eat his mom's cooking. He never ate elsewhere unless he was on a trip for hunting or fishing; but if Justin was home, he asked daily, either by a call or text, "What's for 'suppah,' Mom?"

Justin's mission in life was to be better than his dad. That was his goal, and he was successful every time as he got older. Justin was also a great cook and meat cutter. Anyone who got a deer brought it over for him to cut up and, of course, cook it too. Justin is loved by so many and we thank you all for being an important part of his life, but most of all, for loving our baby.

Justin was predeceased by his very special Grandpa Bruce Morrell, Nana Blanche Smith, Papa Arthur Smith, grandmother Lilian Kirk, great-grandparents Winthrop and Mona Morrell, great-great-grandmothers Alice Morrell and Maude Holt and one cousin, Christie Asbury.

Surviving are his parents, of South China; a son, Tucker Justin Smith, of South China and Winthrop; one sister, Kayla Smith, of South China; his grandmother, Joan Morrell; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Most special to his heart were Heather, Chris and his Uncle Jerry.

There will be no public visitation. A celebration of Justin's life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Plummer Funeral Home, 983 Ridge Road, Route 32, in Windsor. Memorial donations for Tucker Smith are preferred. Please send your donation to Cindy Grasse, Trademark Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 1056, Augusta, ME 04332-1056.
