BELGRADE LAKES -- John D. Mulville Jr., 75, of Belgrade Lakes, died Sept. 8, 2012, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Augusta campus, after a very long illness. He was born and raised in Norfolk, Conn., on Aug. 8, 1937, one of four children of John D. and Dorothy (Hughes) Mulville.He was a graduate of St. John's Prep and attended Villanova University. He served in the National Guard and was one of the founders of the Catamount Ski Junior Racing Team, the president of the Salisbury Youth Hockey and was instrumental in the founding of the annual House Tour to benefit the Salisbury Day Care Center. He was an avid skier, hunter and boater. He spent his career in construction and real estate development.
John is survived by his wife, Anne B. Mulville, of Belgrade Lakes; two sons, Phillip H. Mulville, of Belgrade Lakes, and Clayton H. Mulville, of Phoenix, Ariz.; and three sisters, Jean M. Kane, of Portsmouth, N.H., Ann M. Geupel, of Hobe Sound, Fla., and Barbara H. Mulville, of South Dartmouth, Mass. He was predeceased by his son, Matthew W. Mulville.
At the request of the family, there will be no visitation hours or funeral service.
