WATERVILLE -- Jeff N. Miller, 69, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, shortly after arrival at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Waterville.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Aug. 17, 1943, the son of Herman D. and Selma (Hoffman) Miller. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was educated in Cleveland schools and then went on to receive a degree in psychology from UCLA in California. After graduation, he then took classes in the medical field and was employed as a paramedic for the motion picture industry in California.
He was also known as a great chef in several restaurants in California and abroad in Europe. He enjoyed folk music as well as Irish music, and had a license to fly planes.
He also enjoyed climbing and hiking at Yosemite National Park in California.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Damage) Miller; a son, Paul Miller, of California; a daughter, Elizabeth Kaseno and husband Steven, of California; a sister, Sherry Miller, of California; and 4 grandchildren.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1346 of Waterville.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Notre Dame Church 112 Silver Street Waterville.
Burial will take place in Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, Calif.
