WINSLOW -- Gordon K. Hannan, 81, died Wednesday evening, June 12, 2013, at his residence.
He was born in Liberty, July 2, 1931, the son of Guy and Rose (Cowette) Hannan.
He was a high school graduate. He was formerly employed as an assembler of airplane parts for 38 years for Hamilton Standard-United Air Craft Co. of Windsor, Conn. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses for 40 years. He and his wife moved to Maine 20 years ago from Connecticut.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years on July 17, Lois (Reynolds) Hannan, of Winslow; his son, Paul Hannan, of Enfield, Conn.; a sister, Faylene Ballard, of Liberty; three granddaughters, Kristina Thorne, of Framingham, Mass., Emma and Sazanna Hannan, both of Enfield, Conn.; two nieces; and a nephew.
He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Wendall Hannan; and a grandson, Aidin Hannan.
A funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. Burial will take place a 10 a.m. Sunday, June 16, 2013, at Hannan Family Cemetery in Palermo.
