WATERVILLE -- Anne M. (Cyr) Gagnon passed away on Aug. 5, 2012, at Maine Medical Center as the result of a car accident on July 26. She was surrounded by her family.She was born in Waterbury, Conn., the daughter of Albert and Simone Cyr, the oldest of four daughters. She was raised and educated there and was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School.
She and her former husband, Joe Gagnon, were co-owners of Hudson Furniture Co., in Hudson, N.H. Upon relocating to Waterville, Anne became involved in the pursuit of her many interests. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Newcomers Club. She also took part in swimming exercises at the Alfond Arena. She looked forward to spending time with her friends there, as well as her other friends in her daily coffee group at McDonald's and Les Bavards at Jorgensen's. She had a winning smile and an infectious laugh. An avid reader, she also enjoyed traveling and playing dominoes.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Gagnon, of Hyannis, Mass., Debra McBride, of Westford, Mass., and Donna Round and her husband, Rob, of Dedham, Mass.; granddaughter Cassandra; grandsons Mathew Barker and James McBride; and her sisters, Lucille Bois and her husband, William, of Fairfield, and Helen Clements and her husband, Arthur Clements, of Cortlandt Manor, N.Y. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Claudette Daly.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at the home of Lucille and William Bois, 5 Sanderson Drive, Fairfield. For more information, call 453-6774.
