FAIRFIELD - Stephanie Dawn Breton, 45, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, in Fairfield.
Stephanie was born in West Palm Beach, Fla., on Nov. 7, 1968, the daughter of Jay and Joyce (Skeen) Memel. She graduated from Gulf View High School in West Palm, Fla., class of 1986. Stephanie moved to Maine in 1994, and attended Kennebec Valley Vocational Technical Institute, and got her nursing degree in 1999.
Stephanie worked at Pizza Hut, and PeKing Hut while attending school. She was later employed by MaineGeneral Medical Center, Thayer Campus, in Waterville as a Registered Nurse once she received her degree. She has been employed and was manager at Tim Horton's/Cold Stone Creamery in Waterville, where she was truly at her happiest.
Stephanie loved to watch her children, Jade and Dakota, "DK," play sports in high school. Her favorite was basketball. She also loved to read and shop. She loved Christmas time, and in the spring picking out flowers for her garden and window boxes. She loved her customers, co-workers, and Shane and Rebecca Raye - owners of Tim Hortons/Cold Stone.
Jeffrey and Stephanie were married on Aug. 7, 2002, and shared many wonderful years together.
Stephanie was predeceased by her father, Jay Memel.
She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey A. Breton; her children, Jade and Dakota "DK" Herman, Jeffrey T. Breton and his wife, Karrie, and Wendy Roderick and her husband, Leil; her mother, Joyce Memel; mother-in-law Sharon Batchelder and her husband, George; two sisters-in-law Lynette Wood and her husband, Douglass, and Monique Herman and her husband, Timothy; and a brother-in-law, Sean Breton, and his wife, Tina; and three grandchildren Trevor Luong, Leil Roderick Jr. and Makayla Roderick.
The family would like to thank family, friends, the Winslow community, Lawry Brothers, and especially to our extended families at Tim Hortons/Cold Stone Creamery, Duratherm Window Corp/York Spiral Stairs.
Visiting hours will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main St., Fairfield. There will be a celebration of life will follow at the Winslow Veterans of Foreign Wars, Dunbar Road, in Winslow.
