FAIRFIELD - Sheri Fuller-Spaulding, 56, passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, with her family by her side. She was born April 22, 1957, in Bath, the daughter of John "Jack" F. And Frances E. (Rolfe) Crain.
She was educated in local area schools and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1975. In February 1987, she began a special 26-year relationship with her husband, Bert Spaulding. Sheri was employed at New Balance in Norridgewock from 1987 to 2013 as a customized shoe line supervisor.
Sheri was involved in many community and civic activities and was an active member of Phi Theta Kappa No. 1718664, and Basketball Boosters Club from 1997 to 2001. Sheri enjoyed attending her son's basketball games through his years at Lawrence High School and Husson University and her daughter's dance programs at Miss Jody's Dance Connection. She also enjoyed sewing, reading, travel and theater.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Bert Spaulding, of Fairfield; daughter Jennifer Burnham and husband Ross, of Bangor; son Brooks Spaulding and partner Katelyn Cloutier, of Bangor; two brothers, Ronald Young, of East Woodstock, Conn., Brett Smith and wife Lori, of Fairfield; two sisters, Darhlene Mansfield, of Clinton, DeeDee Bureau and husband Scott, of Fairfield; several nieces and nephews; her sidekick, 10-year-old German short-hair pointer named Gauge; father-in-law Ed Spaulding and entire loving family of Waterville; special friends Melissa Mann and husband Gary, of Norridgewock, Brenda Poulin and husband Gerard, of Fairfield, the Husson Eagles Basketball family - an extension of her own family. She was predeceased by her brother, James F. Crain.
The family wishes to express their thanks and gratitude for all the love and support from New Balance. "New Balance was an extension of my family and enriched my career as well as my personal well being. Thank you my friends and co-workers." A special thanks to Home Care and Hospice.
A graveside service and celebration of life will be held in the spring, at the convenience of the family.
