MADISON - Arthur J. Bolduc, of Madison, passed away peacefully at his home on Nov. 21, 2013, with his loving wife at his side.
Arthur was born on Oct. 10, 1935 in Madison, the son of Philias and Anna (LeBlanc) Bolduc. He received his General Education Development diploma while serving in the Navy from 1953 to 1956. He worked at Madison Paper in various capacities for nearly 40 years. Arthur was a member of the American Legion Post 39 of Madison.
He enjoyed many years of fishing, camping and competitive cribbage games with his wife, Lorraine.
Arthur will be remembered for being a devout Boston Red Sox fan. His gift as a woodworker will be cherished by family for generations to come. Arthur's love for his family and friends was evident through playful banter and direct commentary.
Arthur was predeceased by his parents; his brothers, Henry and Clarence; and one son, David.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lorraine (Plourde) Bolduc; a brother, Norris Bolduc, of New Jersey; his two sons, Michael Bolduc and his wife, Diane, of Farmington, and John Bolduc and his wife, Polly, of Madison; grandchildren Michael, Joey, Jason, Shaun, Mitchell, Matt and Nathan; along with 15 great-grandchildren.
In keeping with Arthur's wishes, there will be a committal service at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, St. Sebastian Cemetery in Madison. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Legion Post 39, 20 South Maple St., Madison, ME 04950. Cremation and Service arrangements are by Giberson Funeral Home, 40 Maple St., Madison.
