NEW BOSTON, N.H. -- Alan Wentworth "Al" Seymour, 64, died Aug. 3, 2013, at Elliot Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the son of Winton L. Seymour and Vivian (Peterson) Seymour. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, he lived in various places across the country before settling and residing in New Boston for the past 30 years. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served with the Air Force in Korea. He graduated in 1968 from Waterville High School of Waterville, Maine. Al received his Bachelor of science degree in business administration from Nathaniel Hawthorne College.
He had been employed as a software engineer by Nynex for several years. In his retirement, he enjoyed working for Hunters Angling Fly Shop and A & E Roasteries, both of New Boston. Al most enjoyed cooking, watching TV and spending quiet time at his home in New Boston with his family and friends.
He is survived by two daughters, Melanie Pinard and her husband, Denis, and their sons, Ryan T. Pinard and Justin D. Pinard, of New Boston, and Heidi K. Cormier and her son, Dylan A. Hackett, of Sanford, Maine; one brother, Craig Seymour, and his wife, Susan, and their three sons, Bradford, Bretton and Brian; and Alan's best friends, Robert Laliberte and his wife, Marcella, of Sebago, Maine.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Boston Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 2504, Meetinghouse Hill Road, New Boston, NH 03070-0250.
